My Favorite Easter Hymns

I love singing, always have! I grew up in a musical home. My father would sit down at the piano and begin playing. All us girls would come running to join in and mother would offer her alto harmony from the kitchen (and only now do I realize just how often she was stuck in the kitchen preparing food and yet she still joined in the household worship!)

This week, I’ve been preparing for Easter by doing my Holy Week readings and my Easter hymns. What are your favorites? This is a great playlist for this week’s preparations. I do skip some of them, but skipping in this playlist is rare.

I must share with you my two all time favorite Easter hymns. I still can hear them as we sang them as a youngster. My father would always make the joyful chorus of “Lo in the Grave He Lay” really peppy! I actually found both of my faves in a great symphony arrangement. I am one happy girl today!!
