Our unit is coming home!! Well, okay, I have to admit even to myself that we are no longer a part of the Combat Aviation Battalion of Ft. Riley. Due to safety, I cannot tell you when they are coming home. My heart has sort of stayed with these guys, even though we are many states away. These folks pulled us in immediately and called us their own. I had not experienced that since the 82nd. The ‘esprit de corps’ was amazing. The women I was blessed to meet through the wives groups were top notch!
They have endured a long year away from their men, and if we had not been sent to this school, we would be preparing for re-integration ourselves. We have been praying for the families, we have prayed for the soldiers, and I have had the pleasure of keeping in contact with many of my gal pals via texting. It has been a hard one for many. It is such a pleasure to have your soldier home, but a trial as you attempt to meld back together as a couple. But relationships are complicated aren’t they? Unfortunately tempers run short and problems arise. Please join us in praying for the soldier as they begin preparations to hand the baton over to come home. Please pray for the families as they prepare for their loved one to return. It is a time of immense joy and trial.
WELCOME HOME CAB!!! GOD BE WITH YOU AS YOU DO!!! WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU!!!
Psalm 57:1-3 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. He will send from heaven and save me; he will put to shame him who tramples on me. Selah God will send out his steadfast love and his faithfulness!
