5 Question Friday

This is my first 5 Question Friday… I used to love these things in school, didn’t you??

1. What is your favorite Easter tradition?

I remember loving the hunt for our baskets.  We got Easter baskets on Sunday morning, but mom wouldn’t just leave them on the couch or table.  Nope, she would hide them.  We had to hunt the whole house for our special basket.  I love that memory!!

2. Are you a “shower” or a “long, hot bath” kind of person?

I am totally a long bath person.  Our rental house has a huge 75 gallon jetted tub in the master bath.  It is the one redeeming aspect of this rental house.  It is my retreat, my quiet place, and my form of relaxation.  Baths are a huge thing for me.

3. Can you parallel park and if so when is the last time you did it?

I can parallel park but got very good at it when we lived in Chicago.  You park on the street there and I could slide our Saturn into any spot.  Hubby preferred me to do it when we went downtown.  I don’t know that I have done it in this last year…. yep, i just don’t think i have??

4. What is your favorite Easter candy?

My fave candy has to be Reces eggs.  They only come out this time of year so I buy many, many bags and hide them around the house.  I  allow myself 5 per day so that they last months.  The sad part about this year is that we can’t find them 😦 So I have no stash.

5. Easter: do you go all out with the Easter Bunny or focus on the religious part of the holiday?

We focus on the religious.  I married a PCA minister so that is the way it is.  I don’t mind and hubby is ok with us hunting down eggs, but the kids know what this holiday is all about.

  1. Yea, see I took showers the whole year we lived in KS. The shower/bath combo was pitiful. But here, it is my sanctuary…I don’t get to do much alone 😉

  2. Ohhhh, you said Reece’s PIECES eggs … I was thinking of the other Reece’s eggs (the elongated peanut butter cup ones) … sorry, I haven’t seen those either. Actually, I never heard of them until now, and now I want some!
