Dad made it!!
Woohoo!! My father made it! His heart started back up again!!The ended up only doing 2 of the replacement bypass veins... the third blockage, the 2 spots on the same artery where 90% blocked, were not found during the surgery. Dad's surgery started 8:04am central time. He is doing well and they were harvesting the first artery from his arm. That will be a bit sad since dad may experience numbness in his hands. it may affect his piano playing, something that is a part of my father!!!
Surgery Day
Today my dad has his triple bypass surgery. My mother and my sisters are all sitting at the hospital hoping to keep distracted while my father has his procedure. Dad's surgery got moved to next Tuesday. His blood thinner didn't fade off his system to the point the doctor was comfortable doing the surgery.
