Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday

give thanks

have the great honor to be babysitting Thankful Thursdays while Lisa is taking a much deserved break. A military move can be very hard on families. There are new routines, new schedules, and all in new places. There have been many a time that it takes us the better part of 4 months to adapt and find a groove. Let’s remember Lisa in our prayers as she is experiencing this all for the first time.

Thankful Thursday is all about remembering our blessings and the many thing in our lives that we are grateful for. We often can get bogged down and focus on the negative aspects of life. This carnival is all about focusing on the blessings we have in our lives. Won’t you join me in counting your blessings and listing the things for which you are thankful?

This week I am thankful for:

~ the opportunity to host Thankful Thursday! I really do believe that this is a necessary discipline for us to do.

~ the visit of my son’s friend from MD. It was sweet to have him here, he is a great kid, very respectful, and my son had a blast!

~ another wonderful visit with family!!! This time hubby’s folks came out. They were gutsy and took the driving tour of Alaska from Palmer, up through Glenallen to Tok, and then through Fairbanks to meet up with us at Denali National Park. The crazy part is that they only drove through half of our huge state šŸ˜‰

~ I am EXTREMELY thankful that despite major road work involving following a pilot car for miles, we were able to make our shuttle bus departure at Denali National Park. We had the pleasure of riding the bus all the way in to the second visitor’s center, Eielson. The view was amazing and the critters were awesome!!

~I am thankful for prayer. I have been earnestly praying for a dear friend of mine who suddenly lost her father last Thursday. Prayer will draw you closer to a friend, and closer to God. Prayer grants me peace and alleviates by burdens. I am so thankful for a God and Savior who listen to my prayers.

How has your life been blessed this week? Take the time to count your blessings, for they are many. Please consider sharing those blessings with me šŸ™‚

  1. Thank you so much, my friend, for babysitting and for your encouraging words and prayers! I appreciate you! And did I ever tell you that I caught up with Patrice and now I get to see her every week at the chapel and PWOC? I can’t thank you enough for arranging that connection!!

    1. So glad you met her!! She was instrumental in getting me settled in here (she probably doesn’t even realize it!!). You are ever so welcome!! Isn’t PWOC fun???
